RedSquid opens a new channel for the Bango Digital Vending Machine®
Bango has formed a new channel partnership with RedSquid TV, creating another route for Telcos to access the Digital Vending Machine® (DVM™) and offer subscription bundles to their customers.
The partnership extends the potential reach of the DVM into the connected TV market, combining RedSquid’s TV platform with Bango subscription bundling technology.
But what exactly does the partnership mean for Bango?
Who is RedSquid TV?
RedSquid provides a white-label TV platform designed for Telcos and broadcasters.
Its technology enables Telcos to offer their own TV experience while retaining control of the customer relationship. RedSquid sees the television as an opportunity for Telcos to go beyond traditional TV services and offer customers a wider range of digital subscriptions.
What is Bango’s role?
Bango provides the subscription bundling capability.
The DVM enables Telcos to create and manage subscription offers across a growing range of digital services, including entertainment, gaming, fitness, education and other subscription categories.
By combining this capability with RedSquid’s TV platform, subscription services available through the DVM can become part of the experience Telcos offer through the television.
For consumers, that creates the potential to discover and activate a broader range of subscriptions through a company they already buy services from.
For Telcos, it creates another way to use subscription bundling to increase customer value and develop recurring revenue beyond connectivity.
Is RedSquid a new DVM customer?
No. RedSquid is a channel partner.
The partnership creates an additional route through which the DVM can be offered to Telcos using RedSquid’s TV platform. RedSquid is not itself a Telco using the DVM to bundle subscriptions for its own subscribers.
Bango already sells the DVM directly to major Telcos around the world. Channel partnerships such as this provide an additional route to market alongside that direct sales activity.
Why connected TV?
Subscription bundling has traditionally been associated with mobile and broadband packages, but the television creates another potential distribution channel.
Consumers increasingly use their TVs for much more than traditional television, accessing streaming, sport, gaming, fitness and other digital services from the same screen.
For Telcos offering a TV proposition, this creates an opportunity to make subscription bundling part of the wider connected-home experience.
RedSquid brings the TV platform. Bango brings the subscription bundling technology and access to the DVM ecosystem.
Together, this gives Telcos the ability to build TV propositions that combine connectivity, television and digital subscriptions.
What does this mean for the Bango growth strategy?
The RedSquid relationship creates another channel through which Bango can take the DVM to the Telco market.
It also demonstrates how the DVM can support subscription distribution beyond traditional mobile and broadband propositions.
As Paul Larbey, CEO of Bango, explains: “This exciting new partnership creates another route through which Telcos can use the DVM to bundle subscriptions. Telcos already have trusted billing relationships with millions of customers. Integrated with RedSquid’s Telco-controlled television platform, the Digital Vending Machine enables Telcos to deliver subscription bundling at scale in the connected home.
The partnership does not change the core Bango strategy. Instead, it creates another way to pursue it: expanding the number of businesses using the DVM and increasing the opportunities for subscription services to reach consumers through indirect channels.
RedSquid and Bango will demonstrate the combined proposition at IBC 2026 in Amsterdam in September.
